When i was in London on Wednesday my dad wanted to go to a new exhibition at the rock and roll museum which guitarist of The Clash, Mike Jones had launched. I wouldn't say The Clash are one of my favourite bands of all time but I love the classics like Rock the Casbah, Should I Stay or Should i go, London Calling etc. The museum was tiny but the set out of the Clash merc and other thing that Mike had collected was really well put together. More information about the exhibition here.
Yesterday i took a trip into London so a dental check but while I was there I visited Camden Market. The last time I was in Camden, all the shops on the on the right hand side of the lock has been boarded up due to the fire at the pub down the road. But now all the shops have been restored, reopened and some major redeveloped work has gone on. To walk down to the lock market there used to be a massive dark tunnel but they have opened it up so you can look onto the river and they have put some awesome scooter seating in (see above). All the market stalls down there are now in little beach hunt, should of got a picture really.
Also all the stables have changed so so much. There used to be some really cheap vintage shops down there but now its like a maze of stalls and literally horse stable. Massive horse heads and sculpture everywhere. Its madness.
I do still love camden, even after all these change. Esp as they have a lovely me churros store. Yummy
More of the YSL ring. A friend from uni and fellow blogger nikki from nycjuicebox blogged about dee from delightful. i love this blog. she had the chloe paraty bag (jealous) and her blog is so colourful and the composition of her photos are brilliant. check her out.
So i'm in love with polyvore, i havent created any outfits or moodboards on there BUT today i found THIS still lookbook of Topshop A/W 09 clothing. There are so many clothes that i love esp the shoes so i thought i would start to pull some look together knightcat style, focusing on the shoes.
i discover this creative group called Lundlund representing amazing photographers, stylists, illustrators and more. These photography are by Sandra Freij. I love how light they are, the movement, engry and innocent.
This has made me really happy. Nottingham have set up a beach in its old market square. Crazy gold, helter skelter, beach, pool, beach huts, deck chairs and cafe. Such a wicked idea i think. Nottingham are really putting themselves on the map and i think finally it might start getting more and more recognised for being a creative/innovative city. Of course i love London, its my home town but Nottingham have stepped it up.
